I received my minister’s license in June of 1999. I married my first couple a year later. Since then I have married a handful of couples and performed a few memorial services. I was just married last year; we were lucky to have my mother, Marcy Abeln, perform our wedding.

By day I am a special education teacher. I work with children who have mild, moderate, or severe development disabilities. The memorial that was the most difficult to preside over was that of a former student.

Weddings are much more fun. I have married couples from a variety of backgrounds from atheists, to Christian to an Interfaith couple. I am very flexible in the types of weddings I have written. I understand that each couple is unique and wants a wedding that not only expresses their love for one another, but also themselves as individuals and as a couple.
